MATLAB

Pre-Requisites

Visit this link to find about minimum requirements for MATLAB installation in your machine.

Click on the button "Sign in to get started", and enter your HBKU credentials, then click on "Get Started"

At this stage, you can either:
- Start an Online Matlab session: click on "Open MATLAB Online"
- Or, install Matlab on your local PC: click on "Install MATLAB"

Select the version you prefer
Select "Install Product"
Then choose the target OS on which you want to install MATLAB
You will see the following message: "Your installer is downloading to your browser's download folder."
If your target OS is Windows, just launch the installer (i.e. the downloaded .exe file) and follow and follow the prompts to complete the installation
- Default installation folder: C:\Program Files\MATLAB\R20XXy
If your target OS is Linux, unzip the downloaded installer files and navigate to the unzipped folder
In the installation folder, run the install script and follow the prompts to complete the installation
- Default installation folder: /usr/local/MATLAB/R20XXy

As you logged through your HBKU credentials, the LICENSING step should display an available 'Academic' License, if not, contact HBKU UTS team. Select Next

Keep the default destination folder or modify it to suit your needs. (It is recommended to use the default path) Select Next

Select the required products/packages (recommended products are already selected). Select Next

Wait for installation to download all necessary packages and complete. It will take between 5 and 7 minutes, depending on your connection speed and system resources.

Close the installation window and then launch the application to continue using it.
